This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. This picture shows a small family seated outside of their house at 92 Wellington Street North in St. Marys. This house was the birthplace of Canadian poet David Donnell, who won the Governor General's Award for English language poetry in 1983. It is interesting to note that this postcard was addressed to Kingston, Jamaica.

This postcard is used and dated December 25, 1906 in St. Marys and January 2, 1907 in Kingston.

Condition: Good - Some wear on all corners, slight discolouration throughout image.
