I grew up on the farm in question (my youngest brother now owns it), my father having purchased the porperty in 1966 from Grant Gregory, son of Bernice. Our understanding from Grant (deceased) was that the house pictured was actually some 15 yards or so to the north west of the house that now stands. Proof of this was the number of Victorian era pennies we as children found where the house once stood, as the story is that the floor boards were seperated slightly and the Gregory children would play with the pennies, rolling them between the planks. My father renovated the current house, room by room, and in one room found the remains of a Victorian style house frame, which does not jive with the picture here. Additionally the basement of the current house is divided in two with a thick wall in the middle of it, indicating that it was at one time part of a foundation. The house here doesn't appear to have a basement, lending credence to the story that Grant told us.
