- Description
- This home, built in the late 19th century, is notable for its elaborate styling and Gothic-Revival elements. A central dormer faces south, decorated with intricately carved bargeboard. The decorative bargeboard also adorns the roof gables. The ornamentation continues on the façade with the turned posts, fretwork and brackets on the veranda. Note the elegant arched treillage at the entrance to the veranda and the lancet arched window seen on the right side of the home. In this photograph, dark paint has been used to accentuate the ornamental features of the house. The home is currently painted in a similar fashion and many of the original exterior aspects still remain.
