- Description
- The original siding of this one storey house was likely made of wood. In a town with many hills, like St. Marys, the basements in houses are often used as an additional storey. Though this home appears to be a modest size, the builders of this four-roomed house made use of the basement level to create more space. The basement level is visible in the bottom left corner of the photo. Interesting detailing can be seen adorning the overhang of the front door.
Hard copies of this image can be accessed at the St. Marys Museum & Archives. - Notes
- Condition: Good - The image is clear. There is a small brown stain in the top left corner which has bled down the paper several centimetres. However, the stain does not distort the image. Some adhesive residue on the back of the photo.
