This picture is of group of recreational moose hunters and have taken some bull moose. This group is clearly recreation hunting. One clue its a group. Another is that they are all wearing white, camouflage for the snow on the ground. A subsistence hunter would probably not bother with such specialized clothing. Most important of all the moose are bulls. Recreational hunters usually focused on bull moose, since their antlers made a worthy trophy. Subsistence hunters would shoot moose: bulls, cows, or calf. It was unlikely a subsistence would run into just bull moose.
