- This is a black and white photograph of the Erven family, in their sugar bush. Two men and three boys are standing on top of a sleigh, on which the large metal container for sap collection is sitting. A few of the boys are holding metal sap buckets. To the right of the photo is the wood shed in which the sap is cooked down into maple syrup. A dog is in the foreground, while two horses are harnessed to the sleigh.
