Due to the piled lumber and some larger structures visable behind the S.C.Co. Barhart Steam loader, the photo could probably be dated as post 1925-26 when the S.C.Co. Saw Mill was built. The Barnhart was mounted on R.R. trucks (wheels) and is probably standing on a R.R. Siding or track.

The Barnahart could also be loaded on the S.C.Co. flat cars which were fitted with rails so the Loader could move from car to car when unloading & loading.

Further investigation of the photo's background indicates that this photo was taken in the Standard Chemical Co. yard. The building and smoke stack barely visible between the loader and the log pile is indeed the Standard Chemical Saw Mill

This loader was mounted on a track that was fixed to the top of the flatcar and with a short coupler it could be walked from one car to the next loading or unloading the cars as it went ....
