Description
Black and white photograph of a group of male lumberyard workers at the Standard Chemical Company's South River lumberyard. There are 18 workers, most standing, a few sitting, probably in front of the lumber storage building. The railway track on which the lumber is loaded is seen in the foreground. Most of the men are wearing work clothes, consisting of slacks and suspenders or overalls. The two men on the right of the picture, Peter Murdock and M.Grieves, are wearing cleaner clothes, with a vest and overcoat, and probably are the foreman or managers. Behind the last row of three men is the large dual doors in which lumber comes through for loading.
