- Notes
- Katie Bottomley (1881-1971) is the daughter of Thomas and Ellen Bottomley, who emigrated from England and settled in Machar township in 1885. Katie never married and inherited the family homestead from her parents. She worked on the farm with her brother, Tom, until they sold it in the 1940s.
