- Description
- This photograph depicts a white house, with trees in the left foreground and a cedar rail fence in the the right foreground.
- Notes
- This house, built in the 1890s, and its many outbuildings was the original home of Carl and Amelia Gutzman, and was commonly known as the River Farm. It was later purchased by their son, William P. Gutzman. The house is still standing, though it has been renovated many times. Two spring creeks used to go through the farm, in them the family used to wash vegetables to sell at the farmer's market. The property is located on the edge of the Ottawa River.
