- Henry Edmund Morphy was a prominent lawyer in the Oshawa region. Born in Quebec in December 1852, he married Miriam Maria Pellatt in 1880, and they had four children: John Apsley (he died the year of his birth), Emily-Irene, Miriam, and John Aubrey.
