- Black and white photo of the exterior of burning McLaughlin Carriage Works.
- Notes
- The factory originally was built to manufacture furniture by T. N. Gibbs. The McLaughlin family purchased the building in 1892 for the manufacture of carriages. There was a devestating fire in 1899, during which time the family worked elsewhere, and returned to Oshawa after the reconstruction. The factory began to produce cars in 1907.
