- Notes
- The Oshawa Steam and Gas Fitting Co. was founded in 1902 when J.D. Storie purchased a factory building from J. Bailes (Oshawa Stove Company). In 1910 the name was changed to Fittings Ltd., and the business continued to flourish. By the 1920s the company employed 650 men. The factory, located on Bruce St., was sold to Pedlar People Ltd. in 1977, and was closed for good in 1987.
