R.C.A.F. Overseas April 24/1944 Dear Mrs. Hall & the Ladies of the Women's Air Force Auxiliary; I received the birthday card & the box of chocolates that you sent to me today. I should like to thank you & the Women's Air Force Auxiliary very much. I wish that I could express to you just how much I appreciate your kind thought. I didn't quite receive them on my birthday but they were enjoyable every bit as much. As you have probably noticed I am no longer in Calgary, Alta. but they followed me over here. Chocolates in this country are very rare indeed so you will have some idea of just how much I did appreciate them. Thank you very much. Yours truly, Sgt. W.E. Gillette R.C.A.F.
