View of the interior of Oshawa's Carnegie Library, which was located at the south west corner of Simcoe and Athol Streets. It was replaced by the McLaughlin Library in 1954 and was demolished in 1957.

The image above shows all the space available for a reading room in the present library building, obviously far too crowded to provide for library patrons in a city of 42,000 people.
