- A gathering during the visit of Elizabeth, the Queen Mother to E.P. Taylor's stud farm in Oshawa. Colonel Sam McLaughlin is seen here with the Queen Mother. One of the stable buildings can be seen in the background.

- E. P. Taylor acquired Parkwood Stable from R. S. Mclaughlin in 1950 and renamed it National Stud Farm. In 1969, the name of National Stud Farm was changed to Windfields Farm.
Taylor also owned the Windfields Estate in Toronto, where members of the British royal family sometimes stayed when visiting the city.
