According to a recent note clipping found in some family archives I found a note from Orma Joslin Thomson- wife of Howard Thomson that the burial place of the Longford is at the Island of Fawn Bay- Centre of Island on west side. Machinery sold to Captain Woods, towed to the island by steamer Geneva and burned in the winter- walked across the ice.
