Description
This is a black and white photo of the Asam Basket Factory. A two story building is visible in the middle of the photo while a long wooden covered structure projects from the upper middle of the building to the right edge of the photo.
Notes
Mr. Joseph Asam began discussions with the Town in 1918 and the terms were finalized in 1920 with the factory being built within the year. It was closed in 1934 when demand waned during the Depression.

The factory was powered by steam, that was supplied by burning refuse materials. Steam was also used for heat, but there was no internal lighting.
