- Artist statement on reverse: "Re Intuitive Painting #35/1995: This is my first Rt. Brain painting using dropped colour and manifested images. It is most interesting to see that the images have appeared here (magically) in a larger scale than previous smaller works and the usual exciting compositional qualities and intriguing messages. Comments re "Eagle, owl, butterfly transformation" (Intuitive watercolor with ink)=GREAT POWER. The Triad of colors (Red Blue Yellow) used in this painting have materialized as 3 air creatures within the overall image of a butterfly which expresses the art of transformation. Interestingly owl (deception) is called Night Eagle by some Ameri-Indian tribes. Owl is also known for Wisdom and Treachery, Eagle is the most powerful spirit who "appeared" here. Hopi believe he is the intermediary between divine and human. Eagle feathers are considered sacred tools. DCMcClure."
