- The Rev. Arthur Sweatman (Nov. 19, 1834 - Jan. 24, 1909) was the first principal of the London Collegiate Institute, a boys' school established by Dean Hellmuth in 1865. The school was later renamed Hellmuth Boys' College. Rev. Sweatman eventually became Archbishop of Toronto and was also elected the Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada.
The map shows the location of the London Collegiate Institute, later called Hellmuth Boys' College.
This Carte-de-Visite shows him as a young man so perhaps the photograph was taken ca. 1865 when he was first principal of the London Collegiate Institute.
