- Description
- A black and white print of an original card mounted group portrait of an ensemble of young musicians. The four seated young women in the front row are cradling their violins or violas in their laps while the rest of group is made up of young men, most of whom are holding string, wind or brass instruments.
- Notes
- Only three of the musicians are identified. In the second row from the front, the seated trombone player on the left is identified on the original photograph as Gordon Thompson. The name Stewart (correct spelling may be Stuart) Thompson appears on the original photograph closest to the trumpet player standing in the middle of the last row. Mel Platt is the third musician named and is probably the fellow seated in the middle of the ensemble without an instrument.
