- Alexander S. Abbott, city clerk from 1858 to 1890, was born June 30, 1812 in Ireland and died in London, January 13, 1898. (Source for birth and death dates: "Families" Vol. 14 No. 2, Spring 1975, pp. 35-36).
This undated photograph was taken by Frank Cooper sometime between 1868 (when Frank Cooper started his photography business) and 1898 (the year that A.S. Abbott died).
The map shows the location of A.S. Abbott's residence at 227 Queens Avenue.
The photographer's imprint appears on the front of the card. There is a handwritten inscription on the back. - Inscriptions
