- Description
- A formal black and white head and shoulders portrait of Cyrus Sumner.
- Notes
- This is possibly Cyrus Wareham Sumner (1803-1880) who came to Westminster Township in 1819 and settled at Lot 19 Concession 2 in 1835. ("Delaware and Westminster Townships" edited by Jennifer Grainger, p. 600)
This is a copy of an undated cabinet card photograph. Judging by the age of Mr. Sumner, this photograph was probably taken ca. 1860-1880.
The map shows the approximate location of the Cyrus Sumner residence.
The photographer's imprint, including the logo, appears on the front of the card. There is a handwritten inscription on the back.
