- An interesting black and white portrait of Clarence T. Campbell at work in his corner office probably in the Old Post Office, on the southwest corner of Queens and Richmond Streets(demolished 1953).
- Notes
- Clarence Thomas Campbell, born in 1843 was first trained as a medical doctor and became Mayor of London in 1905 and later Post Office Inspector for London. An avid historian, he was the first president of the London and Middlesex Historical Society when it began in 1901 and was a well known and popular speaker and writer on historical topics relating to London and Middlesex County. He died in 1922.
The geographic location given is for the southwest corner of Queens Avenue and Richmond Street where Dr. Campbell served as the Post Office Inspector. The London City Directory lists that as his occupation starting in 1907 and ending in the 1913 directory. Dr. Campbell lived at 327 Queens Avenue, on the property that is now occupied by the former Central Library at 305 Queens Avenue. - Inscriptions
