Description: A glossy black and white head and neck portrait of a young woman wearing a felt(?) boater hat with a low crown and narrow brim. Her dark hair is pulled back under the hat and she has a shirred collar under her wide lapeled light coloured jacket.
Notes: This undated photograph is mounted on card with a gilt edged scalloped border.

There is a handwritten inscription on the back of the card.

Boater hats were fashionable fair weather garb for women in the 1880's and 1890's.
