- Description
- A black and white head and shoulder portrait of a curly haired young woman. She has a dark coloured ribbon around her neck which is contrasted by a light coloured overlapping shawl collar on her dress.
- Notes
- This is a card mounted, undated photograph of an unidentified woman.
"The Ontario Photographer's List (1851-1900)" by Glen C. Phillips has a listing for Toronto photographers Stanton & Vicars (Vickers?) 1877-1879 and Stanton, Eldridge 1881-1900. They do not appear in "The Ontario Photographer's List Vol. II (1901-1925)".
The photographer's imprint appears on the front of the card beneath the photograph. A different imprint is on the back.
Perhaps the "Sunbeam" refers to the type of pose.
It is not clear if the woman in the photograph has any London, Ontario connection.
