- Description
- In this black and white non-glossy print we see a relatively close up view of the old steel Byron Bridge and both a grist mill and sawmill with its tall chimney on the south bank of the Thames River. The water level is low and gentle rapids are evident opposite the grist mill. In the background, the light coloured structure on the river may be the dam at Springbank Park.
- Notes
- The handwritten inscriptions appear on the reverse of the photograph.
This photograph is one of five similar sized, card mounted scenes of the Byron area in the London Room Photograph Collection which suggest that they may have been taken by the same photographer around the same time.
