Description
A black and white print of a photograph of an adult woman posed pensively. She has dark center parted hair with long ringlets and is wearing a dark coloured dress with an ornate collar of lace as well as gathered lace at the wrists accented with dark bows.
Notes
This photograph is undated.

The handwritten inscription is on the back of the print.

Caroline Elliot was born September 5, 1819 and died August 11, 1907. She was sister to Judge William Elliot. Her marriage to John Michie took place on June 1st, 1846 in London, Ontario with her brother as a witness. Her husband died September 26, 1851. Their daughter, Caroline Michie was born in 1847 and their son, John, Jr. in 1850.

There is no photographer's imprint or other information to suggest when or where this photograph was taken.

The geographic location given is based on the 1868 London City Directory for Caroline Michie, widow who lived at east North, (now Queens Ave.), corner of Colborne.
