- This is an undated cabinet card photograph.
John Cooper was in business as a photographer from 1857-1890 (Source: "The Ontario Photographers List 1851-1900" by Glen C. Phillips). The London City Directories show his business located at 198 Dundas Street (north side of Dundas between Richmond and Clarence Streets) until 1875. He then moved his business to 440/442 Clarence Street (southeast corner of Clarence and Queens Avenue).
The map shows the 198 Dundas Street location.
The ornate photographer's imprint, including the logo, appears on the front of the card beneath the photograph.
