- Description
- The glassy surface of the Thames River reflects the steep eroded bank in the background of this black and white non-glossy print. In the foreground on the near bank, milkweed and wildflowers are interspersed with grasses suggesting a late summer or fall scene. Many stones are exposed by the low water level in the river. Mature trees outline the high river bank on the opposite side of the river.
- Notes
- Handwritten inscription appears on the back of the cardboard mounted print.
This photograph is one of five similar sized, card mounted scenes of the Byron area in the London Room Photograph Collection, suggesting that they may have been taken by the same photographer around the same time.
