Wm. D. Joyes was a 'cartage agent' in 1923. He lived at 655 Hamilton Road. Truck appears to be delivering bundles of new collapsed cardboard boxes.

Thanks for this information.

My first thought is that he's carrying flat cardboard boxes.

We agree.

Wm Daniel Joyes was a great great Grandfather of mine. The Joyes's did have a cartage company. This information has been passed down through the generations. I have also heard of a Daniel Joyes having a carnival/circus. He was a millionaire back in the early 1900's but lost his fortune when the great depression hit. If anyone has information on this could you please email me at joyes-w@hotmail.com I have been working on our Family Tree and have made great discoveries.

Thank you. If we get some more information, we will pass it along.
