- Description
- Glossy black and white photograph of the area surrounding Labatt Brewery, Simcoe Street viewed from the Thames River. In the foreground can be seen the Thames River at low level with four persons sitting on the stoney bank in front of a tall wooden board fence. A gap in the fence connects with a pathway leading through an orchard and across an open meadow towards a group of buildings. The buildings in the left foreground are the Hunt Brothers City Mills (flouring mills). The Labatt's Brewery buildings are in the center of the photograph.
- Notes
- The inscription at the bottom of the photograph was added in 1939. The date given in the inscription is incorrect. This photograph would have been taken prior to the fire in 1874, likely in 1860.
