Built on the banks of the Thames River "before London became a town" this cabin near Victoria Street entrance to Gibbons Park was bulldozed on May 22, 1953. The London Free Press speculated it may have been
"London's oldest building". North London Community Association petitioned to save it, their efforts were unsuccessful. H. Shapiro founder of Hudson's Department Stores (having been the owner) even offered the cabin to the city to be used as a museum and was turned down.
