- Description
- An enlarged black and white print of an original framed portrait of Mrs. Richard Elliot.
- Notes
- According to the Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario transcriptions published by the Ontario Genealogical Society, Caroline Judith Elliot, wife of Richard W. Elliot died on September 1, 1869 at the age of 78 years. This would make her birth year about 1791 instead of 1807 as recorded on the back of the print, which also lists her middle name as Jane instead of Judith. Several generations of the Elliot family are buried at Woodland Cemetery, including her son, William Elliot who served as a Middlesex County judge for 35 years.
The map location shows Woodland Cemetery. - Inscriptions
