Description

This photograph provides a good view of the buildings and businesses just east and west of the Dundas and Wellington Street intersection. On the left, along the south side of the street, can be seen a portion of the Armouries, Burroughs Furniture Company, the Bell Telephone Building and Hotel London. Just beyond Hotel London stands the Bank of Toronto, on the southwest corner of Dundas and Wellington. The large Huron and Erie Building, located on the northeast corner of Dundas and Clarence Streets, can be easily seen, with the words "HURON AND ERIE MORTGAGE CORPORATION CANADA TRUST COMPANY" visible on the side of the building. The smaller, light coloured building in front of the Huron and Erie Building is the Bank of Montreal on the northwest corner of Dundas and Wellington. On the northeast corner stands the Public Utilities Commission and City Hall. Other businesses, with signs out front, can be seen along the north side of Dundas. There are buses and several cars in the street.
