- This team has been identified as a Wolseley Barracks hockey team in the late 1930's. The well known London athlete, Charles Ross "Sandy" Somerville is fifth from the left in the back row. Sandy Somerville (May 4, 1903 - May 17, 1991) was an all-round athlete who excelled particularly in golf, winning six Canadian Amateur Championship golf titles between 1926 and 1937 and was the first Canadian to win the U.S. Amateur Championship in 1932. He was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 1955, the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in 1971, the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 1985 and the University of Toronto Sports Hall of Fame in 1987.
