Description
This glossy print of the streetscape on Dundas Street just east of Talbot Street gives a good view of the buildings lining the street, especially on the north side.
Notes
It's believed that the business on the southeast corner, where the letters R.S.M can be seen, is R.S. Murray's dry goods business. The 1863-64 London City Directory has a listing for R.S. Murray, a dry goods merchant with a business at the corner of Dundas and Talbot Streets. The name D Macfie can be seen on the end of the veranda on the building in the left foreground, which is on the northeast corner. The 1863-64 London City Directory lists Daniel Macfie as a dry goods merchant with a business at the corner of Dundas and Talbot.
