- Notes
- This white brick school with two classrooms and a basement was built in 1909 on N 1/2 Lot 11, Con. 2, London Township. It served an area bounded by Adelaide Street on the west, down Cheapside Street to Boullee Street, south to Oxford Street, east to Highbury Avenue and to the north branch of the Thames River. Enrolment in 1917 was 54 pupils. St. Lawrence school closed in 1959 and the Roman Catholic Diocese of London purchased the property. The school building was torn down in 1964 when the site became an extension of St. Peter's Cemetery. (Source: "London Township" edited by Alice Gibb, published 2001)
