This and the photo labeled "unidentified soldier & woman kissing at train station" are the same scene taken from the opposite side of the crowd.

The car number and paint scheme on the side of the car 292? indicates that this is Canadian National equipment. The cars are colonist sleeping cars with kitchens as indicated by the smoke stacks on each car.
