- Description
- A black and white enhanced print of the original group portrait of members of King Solomon's Lodge, a Masonic fraternity, at a meeting at their Richmond Street Temple. Symbols of Freemasonry hang from the ceiling and a large chart can be seen on the right hand wall.
- Notes
- The London Public Library's London Room Photograph index identifies the group, the date as being circa 1907-8 and lists Frank Thompson as the Master of King Solomon's Lodge.
The original photograph which this enhanced print was made from does have a handwritten inscription of the reverse. The original photograph is mounted on card which has a ragged top edge suggesting that part of the original message is missing.
In 1907/1908 the Masonic Temple was located at the northwest corner of Richmond and King Streets, as shown on the map. - Inscriptions
