- A black and white, head and shoulders portrait of John Labatt.
- Notes
- John Labatt was the son of John Kinder Labatt, the founder of Labatt's Brewery. Born in Westminster Township December 11, 1838, he died April 27, 1915. He took over the brewery business when his father, John Kinder, died in 1866. In 1915, when John died, his sons John S. and Hugh F. Labatt succeeded him as president and vice-president, respectively.
The map shows the location of Labatt's Brewery.
This undated photograph, showing John Labatt in his later years, may have been taken ca. 1900-1915. There is a typed inscription beneath the portrait.
The London Public Library London Room index card gives the source for this photograph as page 133 in the book "London and Its Men of Affairs" published in London by Advertiser Job Printing Co., 1916. - Inscriptions
