- The notes accompanying this photo in "the Old Boys' and Old Girls'Reunion, 1908" says " J.w. Buck...is the proprietor of the up-to-date furniture store. For over a dozen years he has catered to the wants of the people of this district in the furnituree and undertaking line. Born in Hagersville in 1862, he came to Beamsville in 1986, succeeding Mr. A. H. Dodsworth. ... Bell Telephone No. 2. Independent Telephone No. 383."
