My wife and I have a coloured post card of this scene. The message on the back is dated "November 18, 1912" by the writer and the Post Office, which would indicate that your dating of this item is incorrect and that it is actually earlier.
The message is written to Luella Burkholder (my wife's mother) who lived in Markham Ontario and would have been 6 years old at the time. The writer is Luella's aunt, Cora (High) Culp, wife of Clayton Culp
