The hours are as follows: Tuesday 1-5pm Friday 6:30-9pm Saturday 10â€"12am Everyone is invited to use these facilities. NEWBORO COUNCIL The Council of the Village of Newboro held their inaugural meeting Jan. 3, 1977. Clerk Dave Adamson accepted the decla- ration of office and the oaths to council from Reeve Ken Rasmussen and Councillors R.A.Tay- lor, E. Bresee, D. Delaney and T. Landon and declared them installed in office. Rev. Brandon gave a very inspiring message to the Council and a prayer for their success for their term in office. Reeve Ken Rasmussen, in his inau- gural speech said it was his sin- cerest hope this council would work together in harmony for the next two years for the good of the Village. Mr. Gary Rogers attended the meet- ing and asked this council to give fire protection in the village serious consideration. The council agreed to look into the matter immediately. The council made the following appointments: Newboro Hydro CommisSion Chairman - Ken Rasmussen, Commissioners - R.A. Taylor and Dan Delaney. North Leeds Planning Board Members - Edgar Bresee and Ted Landon Newboro Building Committee - Members Ken Rasmussen and R.A.Taylor Rideau Lakes 1000 Island Council - Members Pat Tallon and Art Pritchard Rideau Lakes Union Library Board - Members Ken Rasmussen, Adelaide Fleming and Mrs. June Boston Newboro Local Library Board - Members Mrs. Evelyn Bell, Mrs. Pritchard, Miss Adelaide Fleming and Rev.
