There will be conservation displays, films at 1:30 and 3:30 and various free conservation pamphlets.A resource person will be on hand to answer questions. From July 22nd to August 6th the dis- plays and films will be concerned with energy conservation.lncluded in our dis- play will be a model of a solar home,a methane generator and a solar air heater. Also, every Wednesday morning,from 10 a.m. until noon,there will be a guided nature hike starting at the Spy Rock parking lot. NORTH LEEDS LANTERN HOCKEY APPEAL The North Leeds Minor Hockey Association plans to operate an in-house as well as an all-star program for the North Leeds area now that the Westport arena is once again in operation. It is also hoped that a ringette pro- gram will be available for the girls. Final registration will take place in early September. In the meantime, we are seeking the support and assistance of businessmen and interested parâ€" ties in outfitting the various teams with sweaters. RIDEAU LAKES GOLF CLUB The Men's and Ladies' Club Championâ€" ships are under way and even though the course hasn't had much rain lately it's been kept in good shape. The Ladies' Closing Dinner will be held at the Post & Beam in Newboro on the 3lst of August, when prizes will be awarded. The Closing Mixed Two Ball will be happening September 10th and we're counting on all members to take part in this traditional event to celebrate another excellent golf season.
