Warden Returns to County Council

A representative of Falgar Construction Company attended the last Council meeting of the Townships of Head, Clara and Maria to clarify the situation on trailers parked at their Construction Campsite at Mackey. Council agreed to charge trailer rental at business rate of $10 per month for the Company's office trailer and $5 per month for each of the five sleeping trailers. There would be no charge for the equipment trailers. Still on trailers, C.A. Merredew, Township solicitor will be asked to proceed with the collection of all outstanding trailer fees in the Townships.

The owner of a small building, moved onto Ontario Hydro property at Deux Rivieres from the Quebec side, and used as a dwelling, will be requested to remove it immediately.

Nominations in the Townships were held November 23 with Elections to take place December 7.

Having served as Warden of Renfrew County during 1970, Mrs Roselma Sinclair will return to County as Reeve of Deep River, a position she has held since 1966. Mrs Sinclair has been a member of Town Council since the beginning except for one year when she was a member of the District High School Board.
