A plaque was unveiled in September to commemorate the historic role the Ottawa River and its rapids near Deux Rivieres played in our history. On hand for the unveiling were MP Len Hopkins, Reeve of Head Clara and Maria, Lita Therrien, and others interested in the river's history.
Remembering the past
MP Len Hopkins (right) was on hand on Sunday to help unveil a new plaque in Deux Rivieres commemorating the historic role the Ottawa River and its rapids near Deux Rivieres played in our history. Also shown is Head, Clara and Maria Reeve, Lita Therrien. (For some of the history of the river near Deux Rivieres, see page 5.)
