Letter From the Front Somewhere in France, Dec. 14, 1916. To the Caledonia Women's Institute: Dear Friendsâ€"I received your most welcome parcel tonight, and I thank you very much for sending it. You have no idea how the soldiers feel when they know some one thinks of them by sending comforts out in this God forsaken country to them. This is about the third parcel I've received from you, and no words can express in thanking you for your kindness. I also received a sheet of writing paper and an envelop. No doubt it was a hint for me to write more oftener, but I hope you will excuse me, as we have been on the move these last three months and haven't even had time to send a field post card. Now that we are in a quieter line I'll write more oftener. With best wishes to all, I remain a friend. NORMAN ATKINS.
