Description
In 1985 painter Harold Klunder came up from Toronto work with Otis Tamasauskas on a series of prints. Harold and artist Catherine Carmichael were hypnotized by the area during the visit. Seduced by the opportunites for living and working on their art they purchased and moved into Park House a former hotel on Durham St in Flesherton the next year. Here they pursued their work and raised two daughters Elisabeth and Saskia who were born in the Park House. Catherine became actively involved in the community. They have lived in Montreal now for some time but return to Flesherton and their home to work and refresh themselves. The renovations on the building have continued over the decades.
