I am researching the DeWeldon history and woujd be interested in knowing its whereabouts.

This dress was worn by Agnes C. Macphail (of Grey County) when she was presented to Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, when they were guests at Ottawa in October, 1951. Princess Elizabeth later became Queen Elizabeth II. It is not known where Macphail purchased the dress. The dress was donated in 1960 to the Grey Roots Museum & Archives. In the photograph, Macphail is seated by a fireplace, wearing the dress, as well as her maple leaf shaped brooch, holding a pair of evening gloves. Holton was a Toronto photographer, but the image was likely taken in Ottawa, as two items that belonged to Miss Macphail are on the mantelpiece, suggesting that the image was taken at her residence in 1951.
